MARINATED PORK CHOPS
4 boneless pork loin chops, cut 1 1/4 inches thick
1 cup apple cider
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. chili powder
1 clove garlic, minced
Trim fat from meat. Place chops in a plastic bag set in a shallow dish. For marinade, combine beer or apple cider, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder and garlic. Pour marinade over chops and close bag. Marinate in the refrigerator over-night. Turn occasionally.
Drain chops, reserving marinade. In a grill with a cover arrange preheated coals around a drip pan for indirect grilling. Test for medium heat above the pan. Place pork chops on grill rack over drip pan. Cover and grill for 35 to 40 minutes or until juices run clear, turning once and brushing occasionally with reserved marinade. Discard any remaining marinade.
Makes 4 servings.
