COUNTRY RIBS

 

4 pounds country-style pork ribs
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup catsup
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1 tablespoon syrup or honey
1 tablespoon bourbon

Place ribs in a pan. Make the marinade by combining all remaining ingredients. Pour over the ribs. Let stand at room temperature for at least two hours. Grill the ribs over slow coals, about six inches above the fire. Baste with sauce and turn ribs every 15 minutes. Continue basting. Grill until juices run clear.

Makes 6 - 8 servings.
