On June 6th, 1944, at Omaha Beach, during WWII, Major Magee, our grandfather, whom we lovingly refer to as “Daddy Mac” earned his Purple Heart while fighting with the 20th Engineering Combat Battalion.
After the war, one of his favorite pastimes was to spend time with his family and grill his favorite chicken. We have always called this “Daddy Mac’s chicken sauce”. It is a must around our home and now it can be a must in yours.
